FAQs

What issues do you work with?

I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, identity questions, grief, and eating disorders. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for your particular situation, you're welcome to book a free consultation to talk it through.

Do you work with LGBTQIA+ clients?

Yes. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I welcome people of all sexualities, gender identities, and relationship styles. I aim to create a space that is inclusive, respectful, and aware of the ways structural oppression can shape our emotional and psychological lives. If you have specific needs or concerns, we can talk through them together to make sure the space feels right for you.

Where are you based?

I offer online therapy sessions and also work from a calm, private space in the centre of Canterbury, Kent. You’re welcome to choose whichever feels more comfortable or convenient for you.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. I work with many clients online via a secure video platform. Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work and allows for more flexibility around your schedule or location.

What happens in the first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’d like support with, your hopes or goals, and whether we feel like a good fit. There’s no pressure to commit straight away.

How long is each session and how often will we meet?

Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly. Some clients come for a short series of sessions, while others work longer term—it really depends on your needs and preferences.

Do you work with neurodivergent clients?

Yes. I am neurodiverse and I welcome any work with neurodivergent clients, including those who identify with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other forms of neurodiversity. I aim to adapt the therapeutic space to suit your communication style, processing needs, and lived experience. If there’s anything that helps you feel more comfortable or supported in sessions, we can talk about that together

How much does therapy cost?

My standard fee is £70 per session. I offer a limited number of reduced-rate places depending on availability and individual circumstances. Please feel free to ask.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full session rate, as I’m unable to offer the space to someone else at short notice.

Is everything we talk about confidential?

Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and treated with care. There are a few legal and ethical exceptions—such as if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others—but we’ll talk this through clearly in our first session.

What type of therapy do you offer?

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic models depending on what’s most supportive for you. I work relationally and in a trauma-informed way, offering a space where your experiences can be explored safely and at your own pace.

Are you a qualified therapist?

Yes. I’m a qualified psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their ethical framework.

Is your therapy space accessible?

Yes. My Canterbury therapy room is wheelchair accessible, with step-free access and nearby parking available. If you have any specific access needs—physical, sensory, or otherwise—please feel free to let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.

How do I book a session?

You can contact me via the Contact Page to arrange a free initial consultation or book your first session. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
